Phenylephrine is in a class of medications called nasal decongestants. Phenylephrine is used to relieve nasal discomfort caused by colds, allergies, and hay fever. It is also used to relieve sinus congestion and pressure. It works by reducing swelling of the blood vessels in the nasal passages. Paracetamol is a non-opioid analgesic and antipyretic agent used to treat fever and mild to moderate pain. Dextromethorphan is in a class of medications called antitussives. It works by decreasing activity in the part of the brain that causes coughing. Dextromethorphan is used to temporarily relieve cough caused by the common cold, the flu, or other conditions. Cetirizine is a second-generation antihistamine used to treat allergic rhinitis (hay fever), dermatitis, and urticaria (hives). It is taken by mouth. Effects generally begin within thirty minutes and last for about a day. The degree of benefit is similar to other antihistamines such as diphenhydramine, which is a first-generation antihistamine.
